Yangon – Putao – Yangon and Other Destination

DAY 01 YANGON – PUTAO
(via MANDALAY AND MYITKYINA) FRIDAY

Breakfast. Morning flight for Putao.

Upon arrival at Putao airport and transfer to Malikha Lodge for lunch. An elephant excursion to the village of Yegyawdi and the river of Nam Lang (in half-day).

After lunch, we start with an excursion with an elephant excursion. The elephants take you through the fast flowing clear waters of the Nam Lang River and up through the terraced rice fields to the village of Yegyawdi.

By prior arrangement there is the opportunity to view the elephants being washed by mahouts. Dinner and the drinks at the main lodge in front of fireplaces and accommodation at hotel.

DAY 02 – PUTAO

Trekking around the tribal villages. Visit all day.
One day of trek through the various villages of the only way Lisu, Rawang and Shan tribes. 

Trekking in the middle of these villages is to meet the local tribes and to observe their daily life. Visit stupas and Shan monastery on the way. Lunch on picnic during the visit under the shade of bamboo groves.

Continue our trek to various ethnic villages by crossing over the suspension bridges of Machanbaw where at the end of the day the Jeep awaits you for the return towards your hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

DAY 03 – PUTAO

River journey by raft from Mulashidi suspension bridge to join Nam Lang and Malikha River, we will pass scenic river gorge to our picnic site lunch is prepared in a spectacular riverside beach in the gorge.

Continue our journey on Malika River to the town of Manchanbaw, surrounded by green hills covered in green forests, sprinkled shores of the rivers and white beaches, we will see the goldpanners from the surrounding villages in search of gold.

After a short stroll through the village return by vehicle to Malikha Lodge for viewing for sunset. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

DAY 04 – PUTAO

Cultural and Traditional site.

You will have the occasion to discover and learn about life in Mulashidi and the Putao valley and view some of the cottage industries. Then visit the Wildlife Conservation Society Museum.

We will also visit to Putao market who will rise early, and to taste a steaming bowl of Shan noodle for the breakfast. Lunch is taken at hotel.

Bike Adventure – half-day

In the afternoon, discover by bike along channel. In the evening return to the hotel to huge, hot bath in fabulous teak bath-tubs and /or a traditional massage in the thermal spa.
Dinner and overnight at hotel.

JOUR 05 – PUTAO-YANGON

Departure.

After a quiet breakfast at hotel, transfer to the airport of Putao and fly back for Yangon. Transfer to the international airport, assistance with the formalities departure for home.
